FOR DAVID SHORT: "this is a far more creative idea than your "blurry" sun image." [this yoga pose is called, "HOLDING THE SUN"]

One day you'll look to see I've gone
For tomorrow may rain,
so I'll follow the sun
Some day you'll know I was the one
But tomorrow may rain,
so I'll follow the sun
And now the time has come
and, my love, I must go
And though I lose a friend
In the end you will know, oh
One day you'll find that I have gone
But tomorrow may rain,
so I'll follow the sun
But tomorrow may rain,
so I'll follow the sun
And now the time has come
and, my love, I must go
And though I lose a friend
In the end you will know, oh
One day you'll find that I have gone
But tomorrow may rain,
so I'll follow the sun
"YOU IDIOT!"

Yesterday I experienced my first road rage incident in Tucson. I was running to an appointment on the sidewalk and a woman pulled in front of me out of a driveway and shall I say cut me off. I held up my arms exasperated. Then she yelled out of her window, "You idiot, go around!" What ensued was a yelling match. To make a long story short, I became Dustin Hoffman screaming, "I'm walking here! I'm walking here!" The name calling and the middle fingers kept on for another 5 minutes. I came away from the incident feeling guilty yet strangely liberated. All these months I've been the "nice guy" adjusting to accomodate a lot of people in my life and I guess it had to boil over sometime...

WHY NOT?

I've just registered to volunteer for this event and WHY THE HELL NOT? It will get me out of self-absorption....
The weather is cooling off in Tucson. It's a beautiful night as I sit out here outside the 6th Street Cafe watching the young middle class undergrads lining up for a cup of java and Tucson's best custards! Last year at this time I was a MySpace whore.

UTOPIA!

I attended a multi-faith panel discussion tonight. It was a microcosm of what a perfect world would be for me: Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Arabs, Jews and the list goes on, all eating a multicultural dinner complete with Oreo cookies and coffee for dessert....and so the quest to expand my mind and community continues.....
